Quick steel epoxy, mechanics gloves, Rescue tape for hose repairs, Lug nuts, fuel filter. driveshafts and CV's also break or take damage often.
Like other people have said info on your class and setup would yeild better advice. You are not going to be able to anticipate everything that can go wrong so it is better to have tools/items that can get you patched up enough to get to your pit or an area where your team can get parts to you
Thats great info...thanks for the feedback!

Tire, belts, full CV/Axle set up, some common nuts and bolts, limit straps, oil/fluids. perhaps some spare heims and bushings, duct tape electrical tape, zip ties if you can stash grease around do it. really comes in handy.
Forgot the spare heims.....thanks!

Haha no on the truck. On our 10 car we carry 1 belt, spare tire, jack, 1 cv, water, granola bars, and a few tools.

The part that breaks the most often is the part you don't carry with you, nomatter what it is, it always seems to be the case.
But from my experience, axles and cv's are popular. Make sure you run dual batteries or carry a spare alternator. All electronic and sensors necessary to limp the vehicle to the next pit. Simply said. Bare minimum to drive the vehicle 50-75 miles in mexico, probably 25-50 miles in the US.

Re: What breaks the most? Spare parts that need to be carried?
EXTRA CV SOCKET.
We now use a removeable coudoura type tool bag. It has its own location and can be easily removed to bring the tools to the problem. We lost a CV in V2R when my co-dog dropped the CV socket in the silt, while trying to pull the socket set from the ammo can. perhaps a magnet would have been nice too. We now have a mini tarp that we put down then the tool bag before trying to do any work.
We also carry a full axle assembly since the axle splines are usually messed up after a CV failure! I'de rather carry a few extra tools than a co-dog anyway! Way lighter.

I think it was mentioned before in their list, but should be repeated. You are going to be working on your car in the dirt and more then likely you'll drop something in it that is covered in grease. You'll need something to clean it with. Brake or Carb cleaner is a must. I guess you could pee on it. Okay, add more water.
