Nevada the next state to charge for Off Road Vehicles
Not sure anyone saw this but Nevada is now 1 week away from going to registration format of off road vehicles including Motorscycles, Quads side by sides and even snow mobiles. 20$ a year to start plus an optional title fee - Didnt see it mentioned elsewhere so i thought I would put up the link tot he DMV website on it.

This has been in the works for a decade.
I don't mind the fee as long as the fund is not raided by eco-nazis and their puppet politicians.

Won't be long until they steal the money for the general fund...
It won't fail because of me!

If there isn't a fuel tax component to fund it, the administrative costs of the program wiil consume al its resources.
Of course, when the AZ leg learned how much of the HURF should have been going to off roading, it amended the legislation to allow but a pittance, most of which disappeared back into the HURF or general fund.
There have been some educational benefits, and the OHV program helped develop the Boulders OHV area on BLM Land north of PHX.
Hey! You kids!! Get OFF my driveway!!! If you can't go away happy, just go away!

There was talk about being able to run on pubic roads when going from trail to trail without breaking the law. Two miles or less. If so, thats a real plus. Not sure if that was dropped or not. I do see a headache if you have an old bike and try to get it titled. Titling not required, yet. My 85 never came with any papers except a bill of sale and those aren't worth a whole lot to most DMV's.

the way I read it on the site - Basically all vehicles that are not reported stolen will be grandfathered and a title will be issued for an additional fee - So like you, I will be titling an old vehicle that I never got a title for - If it does not have a VIN - DMV will issue and stamp one for you

There is very good offroad recreation in SoNV that has been developed and is managed by various government entities. Ya just cant legally rude out your back door from the city like we used to a decade ago.
NV is not like PRK. The land and weather is way to harsh for the lazy or whine and cheese crowd.
