since a funeral and or celebration of life is still uncertain, hopefully one of the talented film and video guys that are on the RDC forum boards produces a nice tribute to Chuck with pictures and/or video clips with some 'strange' music flavor in the back ground for all of us to view --- he will be missed
First... thanks Dan and Jamie for the good work.
The story of Chuck's STRANGE STUNTS career deserves a proper treatment in the form of a documentary film. He performed his first public stunt in 1973 and did numerous creative stunts until around 1990 or the early 1990s. He was a stunt pioneer, back in the days before camera phones, internet, and youtube videos! There is quite a bit of archival material, including videotape, of his truck jumps. I have also been in contact with key people in his life during this time, and fortunately, they seem to be willing to be interviewed and share their comments on camera. Yesterday, I spent nearly an hour on the phone with "Summer Shadoe", Chuck's sexy female bodyguard and assistant. She is willing and excited to share her perspective on the STRANGE STUNT years -- already told me some classic stories that Chuck never told me!
I was planning on making this documentary, but with Chuck's active guidance and help. I will still take on this project, but am limited by the costs involved. My present plan is to seek funding via KICKSTARTER, (www.kickstarter.com), a forum for funding personal projects like inventions, films, music projects, etc. If Kickstarter accepts this project into their catalog, I will be presenting this to the off road world in the upcoming months for support.
Alternatively, if one of the larger, capable film/video companies wants to take this project on, I am open to handing over the STRANGE STUNT files to a willing film company ---- perhaps Mad Media or Vita Brevis or others? Please let me know if interested.
That Roll's needs a special home. Its got his persona all over it.
Could it be acquired from the family and put on display at the Off Road Hall of Fame?
Just a thought?
I wanted to post some pics of Chuck when I was with him during happy days and he was smiling. I haven't seen any of him smiling and hope people remember him smiling. He would like that. So here you go, I don't usually post parts of my past but I feel the off road world would appreciate it. Ann

Thanks for the photos, Ann. The time I saw Chuck smile the most was when he was called to a broken down TT#54 at the 2010 SCORE Primm race.... he was all smiles and grins as he pulled Jesse James out of the scorching desert at about 70mph! Good Strange Times!
Thanks for giving Ann some props, This has been a rather painful and time consuming task.. Ann really was not prepared to deal with, I kid you not, she has been on the phone, answering Emails and numerous PMs these past couple of days non stop from people seeking answers, and quite frankly, she does not have much info. You really have to understand although everyone has been touched by this person in the desert racing world, Ann has not been in contact more than a hand full of times since they parted ways.
Ann and I both really appreciate those people who have stepped up to carry the arrangements and do something to give remembrance and Ideas to carry on Chuck's legacy
Respectfully
