Also have contact with the propit 5-6 miles down the track and have all of them come back to the junction and procede, that section had been cleared and closed. for 2 hours nobody came back ?????? Why
I was at the RM 36 bottle neck, yanking cars up the hill and no one came backwards on the course because we either towed them up, or they blazed their way around the hill and back to the course. After my Bronco rolled and my partner Rick had sufficiently thrashed his Superduty towing people up the hill, I decided to try and help the racers find a way around the hill. We had no radio comms there, (despite being assured a repeater was setup), so I walked down the line of racers and asked two wide open cars at the end to turn around and see if they couldn't make it up the next ridge to the west of us, off an old side road and back to the course. After watching them make it up, others turned around and headed down the side road looking for their route, but it was hard to find I guess from where I was watching, altho watched a half dozen or more go up and over successfully. When Josh and the 16 showed up, everyone was heading down the "new" course to the ridgline and I thought it best they try to get through that way too, so I sent them. After a bit I see the 16 coming back, but slid off the side of the road and was stuck for a bit before heading back down the new course. A while later I see the 16 cross a distant ridge and I remember being stoked that you made it up out of there. Really sorry to hear about your tranny issues and in hindsight maybe Josh coulda/woulda made the bottleneck hill that was now empty of rigs, but thew hill coulda smoked the tranny too, so thanks to the DA for staying a Class Act. I didn't hear a thing about any reroute until all the racers had headed for the alt route and I went to getting my bronco out of the gully it was stuck in.
Great to hear that it wasn't all bad , because with the help of three other racers, the 2039 car got out of the gully on my reroute and won their class at 5:30 am. Was worried about you guys, but had nothing to help you with! congrats!
Thanks all for respecting that course workeers are just rabid race fans doing the best they can given the moment.

Congrats to all the finishers, just finishing this race is an achievement. Congrats to Mike on the win. Sorry to hear about the trans Cameron, I figured something had happened when we caught and followed Josh on that reroute.
