FWIW, TORC is doing just fine, LOORRS is doing just fine but i don't think ricks promotion is helping.... maybe he's trying to get pattison to pay him to shut up?... lol

I can't figure out why one series would be so great. The Kart kids have now graduated to the higher classes with stunning results. If there were only one series what would they do? Tow to Crandon from the west coast? I happen to like the Classix and stock truck classes. They remind me where the sport came from. One series might be good for the top pros but you would lose the grassroots. Is one series really good for the sport or is this just about having a monopoly so you can dictate terms to everyone? I've never been a fan of "my way or the highway."

Have you not seen the lucas oil regional? Are you saying if TORC won the war they would not run grass roots races on the west cost? If lucas was the only one would they expand the regional east? I like the Classix too its just cool to see a car in the air.

I think hes saying that the Trophykart and smaller budget teams could not afford to travel to the east coast from the west and vice versa......which they would have to do if it was only 1 series with points....

I would hope if it came down to only one series there would be regional level racing close no matter where you’re at. For the big show a set up like SX would be a great way to go. Let the big dogs pro 4, pro 2, PL, and PB run around the country. Then do an east and west series separate like the sx lites for the lower classes. Maybe a west vs east shoot out at the end. The east coast series runs with the big series at the east coast races and vice versa. That would be the best outcome if there was only 1 series.

I think the issue is having 2 sanctioning bodies. If we had 2 series West and East and had some marque events like Challenge Cup & Crandon with one sanctioning body then I think a ton of problems will be resolved and everyone will benefit. IMO

If the two series weren't fighting maybe they could agree to that. A collaboration could lead to standardized rules and greater strides in safety and design. None of the desert series are telling their racers they can't race with anyone else. They seem to be doing ok. I don't see the issue with having two series with a championship at the end of the season. I understand that promoters need to make money but it seems Lucas is only interested in a monopoly. If Torc running races is such a threat to the future of shortcourse then it must be fragile and should be strengthened. I have always been a huge fan of shortcourse racing and want to see it prosper. This constant turmoil and petty bickering makes us all look silly. Race photography is a competitive business too. I don't threaten my competitors or sanction drivers because they buy photos from other photographers. If someone else gets a better shot and makes the sale then that just means I have to work harder. It's ironic that promotors who sell competition don't want competition.
