Tire Questions
We have a TT and wondering what the best tires are and where the best pace to get them. We are gearing up for the 1000 and looking to change out our existing tires, which are 37" on 17" wheels. Thinking of moving up to 39".
We currently have Toyo and seem to be shredding them pretty easily.
What air pressure are do toy think is optimum for Baja racing in these size tires? Thanks

Re: Tire Questions
At the risk of sounding RUDE - How can you be racing a TT and asking these questions? I'm confused to say the least.

Lots of women in California get their drivers licenses from Cracker Jack boxes...so this wouldn't surprise me

Sounds like he is asking an honest question. Some people on RDC just need to keep their smart a$$ comments to themselves......
I'm sure you have better advice than that Ramsey
Youv'e been at this desert racing thing a long time from what I gather reading your other posts on this site
To answer your question Baja Dixon, I have run BFG tires on Buggies for over 15 years. Class 1 Class 10 and Class 5. That being said they have been a very good tire company to deal with over the years. They have a great tire and very good pit support in Baja and longer races in the U.S. like Vegas To Reno ect.
The contact I have used to get on the racer program is JD Motorsports. They can get you setup on the racer program and good pricing.

I hope this helps a little. I have never raced a TT so don't have much input for tire sizes or types of tires for different courses. Probably have to go somewhere with more mature people than RDC for that info I guess
