You don't need to be a racer to know that altering tire sizes like that is a much more involved question than just "should I do it bro?" This is why he's been given such a hard time. When your 11th post on RDC reads like it was written by a fifth grader, and you're bragging on your new TT but asking a question like that...

But I get it, some of you are just kiss asses, who will kiss the ass of anyone who claims a TT. But you're also the same ones that will later say "TT class needs lisence restrictions, too many rich people out there who don't know what they are doing." But I'm just an armchair racer, WTF do I know? Flame away, I DGAF.

So because he isnt an expert on trophy trucks you can determine his skill set as a driver and have a license to be a d*ck.

Man I am disappointed with some of the responses to the original posters question. He asked for tire advice, plain and simple. Some of you guys that "have experience" wasted an opportunity to help him, instead you guys made an enemy... Not cool for the "Familla" that you claim to represent...

I don't recall anybody giving Marc Ewing, James Built, Jason McNiel, Bryce Menzies, Andy McMillin, BJ Baldwin, Alan Pfluger or any number of the TT drivers that went from a "slower" race car to a "6500 # death machine" any ** ĦAy, caramba!**** ĦAy, caramba!**** ĦAy, caramba!**** ĦAy, caramba!**** ĦAy, caramba!** for it.

Bob, you would want to test with the 39" tires before racing on them. My biggest concern would be the brakes. There are a whole unch of factors that take them from good brakes to great brakes. This is from the safety side. For durability look at things like ring and pinion diameter, steering, axles and weather or not they physically fit.

Good luck at the Baja 1000, you will have the time of your life... You will make memories regardless of how it goes...

No, but you jumped right on the band wagon. I will rephrase my question if it makes you happy.

rdc is about helping each other out the same way we would at a race, if you have positive input for him..great, if not just keep reading and keep your negitive comments to your self.

You need some language lessons too. Where is your question?? And yeah, I did jump on the bandwagon. I found it amusing that someone would ask "should I run 37's or 39's on my TT?" I expect questions like that out of my little DGAFer buddies on their rangers....Not from someone who is trying to campaign a TT. There was sooooooo much more information that needed to be given before that could be answered...but he felt it more important to tell us he's running 17" wheels.

    Cool story bro...I'm out.

Come'on Mom We were just havin a little fun
Does this mean I won't be getting a Christmas Present?

I'm sorry, BFG 39" are a superior tire to the 37. I don't know about toyos or Generals or Goodyear for TT's. I do know that You can't always judge a product by the teams that use them. Some of those products are being given to larger teams for free or a discounted rate.

Your jealousy of BajaDixons ability to own a TT really brings out your true colors. You should quit while your behind.

P.S. sorry BajaDixon for participating in the thread hijack.

    Re: Tire Questions

Bob...There is some great advise on this thread as well as the resident RDC Morons...Some points I would make.
    1. There are many good tires to choose from, but BFG Pit Support is second to none if you are not able to man an entire effort yourself. I'm in the tire business and I am not a BFG dealer, but I race on BFG for this very reason even though I could get free tires elsewhere.
    2. My biggest concern would be the unsprung weight difference for all the reasons stated earlier. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 1 lb of unsprung weight is equal to about 7 lbs of sprung weight. The additional unsprung weight in combination with the larger diameter/leverage could end up causing a lot of additional wear & damage on parts.
