As a side question, where might one acquire said "Oiled Polynesian Girl" to rub essential oils or strawberry jam on one's belly? No real reason, of course, simply gaining information...

    Re: Tire Questions

Wel said Mark. Some of these rdc know it alls have it all figured out. A one hitter quitter in a mediocre TT qualifies them as an authority on setup. Hilarious. In my opinion BFG's are the best, in pit support and reliability, second to none. A totally legitamate question on tires in my opinion.Everyone starts somewhere. I love Kents response. Carry on.

    Re: Tire Questions

...........This thread cannot be complete without Pistol Pete making an appearance! Bro-Gil and Mark Newhan said it best, seemed like a reasonable question, maybe someone with better knowledge then him could help steer him in the right direction. Get some miles under your belt with the 37" tires you have, maybe take a rear start at the 1000 and have your co-rider keep his eye's wide open on that rear view mirror for the first 150 miles and have at it. IMHO BFG has the best tire out there (again, IMHO), that's the reason only a few chosen teams get free tires but their record in off road racing speaks for itself.

Ramsey, I like the new, aggressive you - in your golden years you've become the ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY on desert racing.

    I mean, what's your secret?

Do you sit on a golden throne in front of your computer, wearing animal print pants and no shirt while oiled Polynesian girls fan you with peacock feathers and feed you grapes?

Are you rubbing testosterone enhancement cream all over your belly while stacking Viagra and Cialis followed by a highball HGH chaser?

I apologize, I was confused. I should have just answered your simple question. I hope it is not too late. I would run Generals at 38 Psi with inner liners, it worked for BJ, sorta, and they will give them to just about anyone with a Trophy Truck willing to run them, right Jerry?

You are so lucky to have accessed the RDC Brain Trust and AYSO Alumni Association. Now that they have solved the tire and tire pressure concerns perhaps they could tell all the budding Trophy Truck teams preparing for the Baja 1000 what the best shock would be. Lets not stop there, what spring rate should the budding TT team use - maybe they could even help them tune them right here in RDC.

When you guys get all the budding TT teams in front running order, maybe you could help my good friend Kent. It would be great to see him WIN a race in that hotly contested Class 8 - all those entries! Perhaps a softer throttle return spring; what do the experts think?

Putting all you jokers aside; if you don't see something "confusing" about a guy planning to race the Baja 1000 in a TROPHY TRUCK asking the RDC Pundits what tire to run - well there is something wrong. First, all one would have to do is pay a little attention and see what all the top teams are running (can you say BFG - more TT wins than any other tire or look at what other front runners are using) and second, many legitimate Trophy Truck teams will have no chance of winning or finishing well because some budding TT guy will draw a better starting position than them - perhaps with the wrong tire or pressure, lol!

Just look at what the RPM Truggy did to ruin the chances of many of the Class 1 teams at the 500 - moving road block. Don't be that guy!

    Ramsey,

At least you're starting to be more humorous now.

I guess now your brain is firing on all 4 of your Trophylite cylinders. Sometimes I worry about you. Sheesh.

For some of you who may be watching from the sidelines - a lot of us who post here actually have beers together and get along fine in real life. But this is the internet, a very emotional fantasy land, where questions about tires can become the source of tears and anguish...
