Not sure how the course is set up in the Ranch, but by the mile markers on the course it looks like the course is being run clockwise.

This race is a well organized race run on an incredible course.... and only two miles from the USA...(Jacumba). I highly recommend anyone jonesing to race to go do Jacume... two days on a 20 mile course in the trees, boulders, etc., one main pit, no remote pits, very easy to race. ... absolutely nothing like it in the USA. CODE people are also very cool!!!

Went to test/prerunn to jacume yesterday, the weather was perfect a little warm but cloudy and even got a pretty good amount of cold rain to cool everything off. The entrance from the highway to Jacume is now fully paved and makes it easy to get there and keeps the dust down. The first 5 miles are fast rough and super technical, getting to the big wash it was very wet and almost had running water in it, this wash runs up hill for about 3 miles or so, lots of rocks in there going to be tough to keep the tires alive. Jumping out of the wash its a hard right hand 90* turn up a steep embankment then back to the technical turns and whoops and g-outs. Then back into a smaller wash with tons of rocks and slow speeds is a must. A lot of these sections are the same as last years with minor changes until about mile 10 a whole new section was carved out of the landscape and will run all the way to the road crossing looked to be fairly fast, a few wash crossings and big rocks scattered about. Jumping the highway the climb to the top is pretty easy with a lot of exposed rocks from the recent rains, where from mile 15 back to the ranch is the same as last year. This section is rough single track whoops with lots of turns and big boulders lining the course in some sections, some room to pass but will be dusty. Entering the ranch the course will enter the same way as last year and run to the south end and turn east along the fence then make a u turn to hit the jump up hill as it did last year, opposite as seen in photos shown. We tuned the race truck, swapped springs and re-valved shocks via ShockPros, and even did some engine tuning and she feels ready to do battle. The race is shaping up to be a real good time. At the end of the day the CODE officials along with my dad and the owner of the ranch all sat down to have a few drinks and food and just enjoy the awesome weather.
