that is NOT correct info.......that is the BITD 6100 engine rule, and must be BRAND NEW and tagged by turnkey.....SCORE rule (which the OP is referring) is ANY engine 2008 or newer, 376 cubic inch or smaller STOCK and sealed by SCORE...used is fine.....score rules MUCH friendlier for budget guys.....

Why don't they just spec the fuel as 92 octane? To think that it will be a junk yard class or cheap class is a dream. A 2 inch cage truck with all of the usual stuff will be a dog with a 400 HP engine...
It won't fail because of me!

Re: New score super 8 class
this class is gonna be all about a manual trans to get as much of that 400 to the ground as possible. the fortin is gonna be the hot ticket, but who will be the first one to put a fixed yoke on a tremec tk0 600- rated for 600 ft/lbs and around $3500. would it hold up?

If you could put a torque converter be hind the engine it MIGHT have a chance. I see the transmission prep bills being extremely high though.

Turbo 400 only. Rules are on SCORE's website under tech notes.

This is why I don't like the turbo 400 rule for this class. I would rather run fords 6 speed with the 425 horse motor.
My Turbo 400 475 horse ProTruck is a dog too.
