Just walk away. I will give you safe passage in the Wasteland. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror. I await your answer.----The Lord Humongous
Pete more lame insults, thank you. Can you just leave already? You are very bad for this sport.
Hey Pete... I'm just an intrawebs tard but I was thinking. Jerry said you must have the turnkey tags first... Then score opens it up and breaks turnkey's seals? Or does score just take turn key's word for it and vise versa? Well being that you will race score mostly.... I have a great idea. You know what they say about rules..... LOL.
Scott,
This is exactly why Score should have just used the same rules. Just let Tutnkey do the tag. Now why Savage doing the Tag instead of Turnkey??? $$$
So to race in both series we would need to pay twice.
OF COURSE score takes them APART....in ALL of my expierence with the engine tagging, with both the new LS and the ECOTEC engines, they TAKE APART EVERY ONE and check, and measure, to determine its what it is supposed to be.......thats the biggest problem the class 10 guys are having with the ecotecs....EVERYONE (and thier brother) is allowed to tag them.....who, or what racing series would allow engine SUPPLIERS and BUILDERS to TAG/ POLICE themselves???????????????.....turnkey is OBVIOUSLY jerrys bestest buddy so he wants them to contol EVERYTHING......SCORE has made a class that ALL manufacturers can participate, and all teams can use ANY engine they want (within reason), WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH THAT??....SCORE does NOT supply or BUILD engines, so they are NOT biased in any way (that i can see, why would they?)....jerry claims score is just in the tagging business for the $$$$$....TURNKEY CHARGES MORE THEN SCORE TO TAG ENGINES....WAKE UP jerry!.....please quit posting all of your lies, why bother.....
and with scores rules/system for this class.....the racer can REBUILD or REPAIR a damaged engine and have it RE-INSPECTED/re-tagged and not be REQUIRED to buy ANOTHER new engine ......someone besides jerry, please explain why this is SOOOO bad....what am i missing here?????
Pete Turnkey is charging $300 to tag an engine. This money is not just for the tag but also to cover their costs to have someone at the races to police these engines.
Now my point is if you are allowed to have just anyone rebuild an engine you are letting anyone do what ever they want. Different bearings, .010 change to the deck height, .010 to the piston bore, better pins, rings, etc.
I am sure Savage is not pulling heads off the engine is here? Is he pulling pistons out to check the rings? Check other internal hardware such as pins? Bearings? Etc? And if he is not an engine builder then he shouldn't be pulling engines apart.
Once a "stock" engine is rebuilt it can be WAY nicer than stock. Especially if you are allowed to remap the engine.
I am all for rebuilding or fixing engines but I feel only one company should be the only one allowed to do the rebuild. This way there is no conflict of interest.
Pete you have a lot to learn. You are new to building and very argumentative. You should really step back and use some logic and think about what is fair for "everyone" not just pete.
Having one company do all of the rebuilding and tagging doesn't make for no conflict of interest, it makes for a monopoly. If the promoters did what Fly suggested and made a restriction on fuel and amount of fuel to the engine it would be easier for the promoter to tech and less expensive for the racers since they would have more options. The only one who would lose in this scenario is the single-source engine builder.
Don't get me wrong I am very excited about this class, but I thought that your interest was making it affordable?
