I can't see why it wouldn't be legal, it is a mfg produced crate engine... This thing would rock with a good tune.

That engine is not legal, you can only run the 430 hp ls3.

You will have to talk to Jerry he is the one that selected those engines for this class so far.

Nope, Ford engine was already in place. And BITD went with the LS engine that had the same power. BITD came up with the rules. A few of us including me just helped out.

Talked with Casey today and he is working on writing in the rule book a engine service/rebuild rule. Stay tuned.

That's what I was thinking. You could run the more powerful OEM engine or crate Big Blocks and that class could be called Super Duper Class 8.
