Can you elaborate? How is discussing this make us all the worst thing for offroad racing?
Do you think the mainstream media hangs out on forums looking to expose the dirty secrets of off road racing. Outside of the death or massive destruction, I don't think the outside world gives a cr@p.
Everyone has an opinion on the race incident but how did it come to dukes in the pit? How do words escalate to punches so easily? Went from racing incident to possible assault???
Saw parents brawl on CNN this morning over a little league game cause someone was playing music too loud after a win. Just seems like people are way to quick to solve issues with a fist.

would you be pissed if your race and big paycheck (you had in the bag after cams truck was out) ended with a lapper taking you out? (in your mind).....of course you would!!! (anyone saying otherwise is lying).....did sam go to beat anyone up? DOUBTFUL...........did jr. make a few key mistakes in a 6 minute timespan? of course.........is it the end of the world? NO......will he learn from this? i hope so (even though posting the vid makes me think he is trying to prove he was in the "right").....and the most important point, JUNEBUGGIES BREAK!, all the time....especially in longer races, something between the end of the crankshaft and the outer cv flange usally fails.........it probably would of broke anyway......the second most important point, DONT speed up after being bumped, raise right hand and wave , slow down, and let the guy behind pass.....and this thread wouldnt have happened.....

Okay, I put on my helmet, turned up the radio in my wife's Tacoma and drove around the neighborhood while watching the video on my phone - I now know exactly what happened and can pass righteous judgment. You have it all wrong!

Simple - Not Brandon's fault Sam lost the race but it is his fault he got hit.

Think I made reference to the frustration. Nothing more frustrating then catching a truck that kicks up a ton more dust than a buggy, only to have them not move over or "jackrabbit". From the video it sounds like Brendon was surprised while his co-dog was giving him some pretty specific navagation. Co-dogs focus on navagation over watching mirrors, led to this "racing incident". Was his blue light on? Didn't know that there was 21K on the line and not from Ford. Great publicity for HDRA.

Then after the first hit there was plenty of spots to pull over. Yes you have to slow down and even STOP to pull over sometimes. I think he was trying to find a BIG spot to pull over but there was plenty of spots to slow down and stop for a second to let him by.
Has Brandon raced on a tight course before or only ones like Primm and Plaster City? Just asking cause he might not have known how to pull over correctly on a tight course if hes just used to wide open courses....

that's what we always try to do. if my co-driver steve sees someone coming hard from the back, we'll even pull over and wait til they're past us unless there's plenty of room to race. i think brandon's co driver should have done the same and held him back while there were a lot of chances to do so earlier before they got to the hill if he knew a way faster car was coming. if brandon all of a sudden said WTF was that after he got nailed , then the co driver was busy lookin' around at other stuff and got caught snoozin' in my opinion..
