Actually, your post inspired me to go get a Deluxe breakfast platter and vanilla iced coffee.

Funny, I will say the sticks of DOM in my driveway show virtually no signs of rust where the sticks of mild that were all delivered at the exact same time have a decent amount of surface rust showing after a little bit of sprinkling this past weekend. Typically I don't worry about leaving tubing out in our 4% humidity and it's just my luck that it happend to actually rain before I could get them moved under shelter...

There isn't a cheap part on this truck. Cromo rusts too. I have the empty wd 40 cans and scotch bright to prove it, haha.

Your talking about brand new tubing. Of course the DOM will last longer because of the coating on it but once it's been used and touched and scotch bright and painted and chipped and scotch bright and painted and so on it's all gonna rust. So will your super special DOM.

I'd have to agree totally.
The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

Sorry for getting off topic, but why does DOM come looking different all the time? When building my truck I got the tubing in several different intervals. 1 time it was a metal color like it had clear or no coating. 1 time it was black. 1 time it was a light grey. And 1 time it was a dark grey.
And I wonder if Brandon will keep the nickname. Be funny if he did and 10 years from now finishing the 1k in a TT you hear over the speaker “amateur hour”
