Re: Rally fighter
It might be different looking, but they are the only ones that are making a car that can run a desert race and take you to dinner, with air conditioning, and doesn't cost a couple hundred thousand. Plus, it's emissions legal for all states. Not a bad deal

I agree with this.It seems like they are going for a kinda star wars look that most of the older generation(me) aren't really attracted to.

Re: Rally fighter
Well, when it raced against that air boat in Top Gear it recorded about 100mph on a dirt road (stock)... I would say it could match a class 16 or 12 maybe?

The are pretty sketchy to drive, mainly the rear end when it cycles it really pushes the car around.

It looks like it beats the hell out of you too. Tanner Foust looked like he was in some pain with every bump

Maybe the suspension was too tight? With 18" travel in the front and 20" in the rear I don't see how it could be such a bumpy ride

It may have those travel numbers but it sure as heck don't feel like it... Not comfortable at all. People get really hung up on travel numbers but it's all about how that travel works!

We had two of them at the USA 500 last year - including Buddy Crisp's - and were giving casino VIPs rides in them offroad. The public loves them.

yeah it is.....but i don't much like the typical chit either. it just seems like after going to the trouble of buildin' the thing that they could have had somebody with a little imagination in charge of exterior design. it looks like they brought in jerry's kids..

Re: Rally fighter
Hey we all difference of opinion on design and body style or type. But I am pretty sure we can all agree this is a pretty bad a$$ machine for 75k. Come on there are not to many cars you can drive out to the dunes and perform like this. No paddles and in the stock configuration. If you have not seen the 2012 Rally Fighter you need to see it. Four link rear suspension with a strange 9 in and nice billet front arms with uprights patterned after a class 1 car. Hey Randy if you do not like the body design I have no problem with that at all but lets not make fun of "the kids" on a public forum, have some class.
