Burned Shock Oil
I finaly had a chance to rebuild the shocks this weekend after our effort at the Mint. What I found was intresting. The coilover oil was still red and not burned up but the BP oil was toast. What would cause that? Is this an indication that my valving is off on my CO? Both the CO and BP were fresh befor the race.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Burned Shock Oil
Looks like you need more valving in coil carriers. Burnt oil really stinks, huh?

It dose!
So when you say more, I'm at 30/50 on the CO right now, that would be sliding up the Fox chart scale, say 40/60? Correct?

More like 60/30, 60 being the comp and 30 being the rebound. How far are your comp tubes open on the BP?

The 3 tubes have 6 threads exposed.
The BP valving is 85/70.

Re: Burned Shock Oil
Tubes are way to far closed. Bump the C/O valving and open up the BP comp tubes........

Re: Burned Shock Oil
If the shocks are close to the same temp after use, perhaps the C/O a hair cooler, your valving is pretty close.
