Glad to see the plunging axles evolving to work. Any specs on the maximum amount of plunge you can get out of a set? Similar to the mckenzies?

Similar as in can be made in any plunge length needed ? Yes that is the only application specific part really
IE the pflueger truck has 5/8 operating plunge but the unit moves 4" total for assymbly.
The speed car is a hair over 6" and uses ever inch of it ...

The axle looks simple and straight forward, accomodates axle deflection, and is generally metallurgically correct. It makes more sense than most other plunge systems. Non-plunging joints are the only way to go.

whats the target retail on the joints? Are they the same OD, spline etc... as a stock 30?

Correct Non plunging joints can handle more torque and angle. I have yet to see any other plunging axle do what this system does with put heat and flexibility. The axles and certain parts are also metallurgically made an processed in a way no one else try's but F1
Price is determined on application , mid board? Out board? inboard? Or?? The bolt pattern and OD are the same as a "stock" Kartek, gkn, mckenzie unit size 30. Other than that everything else is different to accommodate the loads we are asking the joints and axles to do. The splines are larger, the balls (not regular steel balls from mcmaster Carr) they are c60-70 depending on what you want, ceramic etc, the axle od is much larger
It is looking like the cv alone is around 23-2500$ depends on how many needed, ball type etc
(Kartek is 14-1800$) last time I looked and these joints if lubed properly and maintained should last the life of the car almost. I have some that have ran 2200 miles so far
They are very labor intensive to nurse the edges and parts to what they need to be to survive and never was expected to be a general consumer part after we got into the manufacturing of the whole system.
Originally the truck was intended to run stock series 30 joints and Mackenzie axles no big deal right?

The Harris series 30 CVs of today ...
Nothing new to share currently everything has been in the "off season" relating to the CV cars The HARRAH Jimco that has the most recent parts has been sold and may run at Parker. They did recently service the cvs for sport and allow us to get a look at them again after about 300 miles @ full 26 degreaser operation and 26 " travel
