ORW has always paid my contingency stuff without having to chase them down or tell them what happened.

I hope no one out there takes my post as bashing. My intentions from the get go were to get info on the best way of getting what i believed was owed to us. I am greatfull that some companies are out here supporting our sport. Thanks again to all.

    Re: Baja 500 contingency awards

Since we had such low contingency signups for SCORE, we hired someone to talk to racers directly and sign them up for the 500. We had about 80 racers sign up, which is up from about 80 from previous SCORE races. UPR sends out certificates that are good for 6 months within a few weeks of receiving results, if you didn’t get one we don’t think you qualified for one reason or another. If you think we owe you money, contact us and we’ll figure it out.

Before we send out certificates, we actually check the photo sites to verify the cars are running the decals. We require the decal to be within 8” of the A pillar to make them easier to find when looking at the photos which is stated in our contingency offering along with the sanctioning bodies having diagrams. It’s not unusual for us to request images from photographers when there is a question on qualification. If you contact us and for some reason you won but didn’t have the sticker in the right spot, we will usually work something out. If you call us out on RDC before you contact us, your chances of getting an exception could be reduced. I would post our form, but I'm traveling and dont have access to it.

If you can’t run a sticker near the A pillar for some reason or have some other issue, let us know before the race.
Some of the sanctioning bodies do a better job than others with contingency on the front and back end, which greatly affects the efficiency of the contingency sponsors.

We take contingency pretty seriously and know it would be counterproductive to our efforts to screw people out of their earnings.

Mojo, every sticker has been blessed by the Weatherman himself....hmm, wonder if Sal blesses his Score steekers?
Legend has it that he has helped many on there way to victory.......Can you say, Understatement of the year!

Love the way RDC has come to just ignore Mawgokart's rants!

In 12 years of racing theres only 2 companies that pay contingecy regardlesss FOX and BFG,every other sponsor is a DEEK when it comes to paying out! they will all gladly give you their stickers but try collecting your $.......good luck...Canidae is probably the worst offender, i called them 3 times, approached them twice, even bashed them on the internet, never saw a dime! PCI is literally saying above "You need to contact Crystal at PCI to claim your $, thats total BULLsSHEET, so we have to go chase our $,look like a beggar? WTF? just send us our vouchers, were busy prepping cars, I have to be PROACTIVE to collect my Contngency? WTF Scott? So your literally telling us we have to chase you down to collect? Did we make you call us to run your PCI sticker? Contingency Directors,Sponsors, are pretty much a joke! All race directors even disclaim that they have NOTHING to do with Contingency, its strictly up to you to chase down your contingency $. Good Luck....Its easier to find Bigfoot than it is to collect contingency!
I do not know who you are but the negativity and lack of respect in your posts on a regular basis is rude and undermines your points of view. Learn some manners and you will gain some voice!

I have raced for years and taking a little time to communicate with the vendors that support you and line up your prizes does not take much time. You need to call or email PCI to order product or set up service and sorry if this is too much of an inconvenience for you. 800-869-5636 or email [email protected] and your account will be credited or product shipped out.

Hey Scott by the way if you ever need a good driver with a team and some financial help maybe that number 7 can come out and play.
Thank you for your support and #7 is sitting in Hemet waiting for some passion and horsepower to get her back on the track. I was missing my kids growing up and have been at soccer games and baseball for the last couple years and hope to get back into racing when my children are old enough to enjoy it with me. If someone wanted to induce the passion, horsepower, and money to race her I would be available to show up with my driving suit at select events

Dan when my Father started supporting all the events back in the 70s he was hitting the races by himself and he offered 4th place only as this was the position out of the money so we just followed along with 4th place only up until a few years ago we revised it to third place only as some promoters did not have it set in there system to go to 4th place and we were not getting the information propper to give out the prizes. With over 10 series we offer contingency to we could not afford to offer prizes to first through third so when you do come in third place give us a call.

I appreciate those of you who run stickers and if you read the contingency sheets it spells it out what we offer and what you need to do to qualify. Come in third place, run our sticker, finish the race, and contact PCI.

For those of you do use PCI, the Weatherman and my family appreciates your support, Thank you.

    Hey Scott,
Can you help me out with this. (see attachment) Its from ASCC Lucas Oil Regional Series. There aren't enough numbers for the phone # and your previous post shows the link for Crystal with a capitol "C" not lower case like on the contingency sheet and her contact info on your website. Its not a big deal, just an FYI.

I tried emaiilng Crystal using the address with a lower case "c" [email protected] for two months and got nothing. Its probably a typo, but I don't want people bad mouthing you for a typo on a contingency sheet. I know your company always stands behind their equipment and service. Thanks for supporting the little guys at ASCC, we greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Will

Scott thanks for posting,we got 3rd at the 500 and had not even thought about contingency ! your tech spent over 2 hours at the 1000 working out an intercom issue, tuning antennas and making our in car video work with the radio. total cost 2 tacos and a coke. we made it through the 1000,NORRA,Dos Mares, and the 500 with great radio communication.
It has been good getting to hang out with you and Dave at the last few races as well. I better get that email off to Crystal.

@ fly-n-hi I have not recieved an email from you, or you would have had a pretty quick response. I check my emails often through out the day. It should not matter if it's a lower or upper case. Try again? Or call me, we are open Monday through Friday 9 am- 5:30pm. #562-427-8177 or toll free #800-869-5636. I'd be more than happy to help you or anyone out if they have any questions on our Contingency program or have an award coming to them.
