BUMP REMINDER..... Tonite is the memorial service for the one and only Chuck Strange. 7pm at Lucas Oil Glen Helen.
Thanks to Chappy Steve Hanson and GlamisGurlie Jamie Fagan for handling the arrangements.
Thanks to Glen Helen and Lucas Oil LOORRS to giving us the venue tonite.

I put together a brief 7 minute tribute video, using a VHS tape Chuck gave me two years ago - come watch and you will see that from approx. 1975-1995, he was a truly original stunt driver, in the days before camera phones, youtube, red bull thrillseekers, and the internet. We off-roaders know him as the funky dude with the purple Rolls, but he was much more than that -- He was arguably the four-wheel equivalent of Evel Knievel (though he did not seem to like that comparison). I plan to see that a proper documentary film on Strange Stunts is produced in the near future. Stay tuned.

As Chuck commonly said to interviewers..."Anyone can jump a truck, but there is only one Chuck Strange". RIP Chuck

That’s great. I hope you can post up the short video and any pictures of tonight. I would of liked to be there but as chuck was I have been struggling (financially embarrass as I call it) and I don’t have the means to pay my respect in person but will in my own way.

I attended the memorial service for Chuck tonite at Glen Helen and was very disappointed by the sparse turn-out for someone who gave so much to the sport so many times, and asked for nothing in return. Special thanks to Jamie for coordinating everything, Doug for the great video, Chaplain Steve Hanson, and to those donated their time, money, thoughts and prayers to help Chuck. Oh yeah, and thanks to Curt Leduc, you had some very funny stories about Chuck tonite.

Thanks for the video. Obviously, the memorial was a little too far distant for me to attend, living in Az.
