Beam Brigade,
Even with your 35 minute credit the 1600 cars that ran all 5 laps were still in the 13 hour 30 minute range and were the fastest air cooled car. We only turned off their first lap to get apples to apples on the remaining 4.

Of all race cars entered how many got towed to the top? Reminds me of old days in Mexico and the stream crossings after the rains. Cars would back up on course behind stuck car until some brave racer ventured off and never came back, then you knew there was another way out.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want....except a lil' racing.

Depends in where you're racing and who the promoter is.

I have 4 wheeled way back into the middle of nowhere in Baja a few times and towed out 10-15 vehicles to unjam bottlenecks, People were going around anyway they could. It was mad max style and no one said anything after the race except thanks B-Dub I owe you a T-Shirt. I'm still waiting for my Baldwin shirt haha. Its off road racing and things happen. Thanks for putting up one of the biggest purses in recent off road racing HDRA

Must have towed 20 up and it was a blast...Mad Max is right, yet all the racers were very cool about the mess. Guys were trying a steeper hill to get around, but no one made that. Out of the blue, Arthur drops down this huge hill from back up the course and he ended up half way up the bottleneck hill, but stuck in a gully. Yea, he'd passed the cars waiting, but he took a risk doing it and to the adventurous there's often a payoff. Figured once I got the hill cleared of cars, I'd tow him up too, but he aired down, got out on his own and was the last guy to climb it with no help! Pretty impressive for a 16 year old even if one BA truck did most the work...haha!
