I need to clean up some tubing on my stock class racer. I had just finished building my racer before my last race and all i had time to do was give it a rub down with WD-40. Our first race had rain and 3 in of snow so needless to say we got rust. I was just going to use scotchbrite but i also heard somewhere to use some acid. Any ideas or suggestions on what has worked for you and maybe what kind of acid. Thanks Garrett. And here is a pic since everyone loves pics.

Were you over in Billings at the YORRACING.com event? Your truck looks familiar!
X3 on the scotchbrite and WD40, it actually works a lot faster than you would think... Acids will take a little bit off, but looks like crap and leaves a white/chalky residue.

HAHA! Where else do we have awesome races in the snow and mud! I used a crap load of scotchbrite and got most of it off pretty quick. The bumpers will be painted and the cage left bare with a wd-40 bath often.

We were still doing the finsh prep on the truck at 2AM the night before the race. I walked outside and there was 2 inches of snow on my tow rig.... WTF???? I couldn't believe it! It wasi 70 degrees just a couple of days before.
Still, it was an great track and an AWESOME race! Don Linder pulled off a great start to the series.
