That is at places where the bums visit frequently, to easy to throw a couple of washers in then smash. I did see one place in Alpine that you had to have uncrushed cans, but you got your full CRV, it was an automated machine and you put one can in at a time and it crushed them.

I've seen a few of those automated machines. The one I used to go to in National City had one and the line was always long. The recycler I go to now in Spring Valley is pretty fast. I usually tip the guys $5 if I pull over $20

That means they are blew over 3/4 of a Billion last year in unclaimed CRV money. If you look at the annualr reports it gives the ammount collected and the amount reimbursed. The differance is income and should be floating around somewhere. recycling seems to be up, there not making nearly as much as years past. They probably kept spending at the same rate though........
