Southern Arizona Desert Racing would like to invite all off-road racers to the second event of the year in Rocky Point, Mexico.

The Cholla 250

Beautiful weather, plenty of hotel rooms for everyone, easy travel and pit locations and a great 125 mile desert race course! It will be much of the same course as last time but it will be run backwards. The course features high speed desert roads, sandy washes, jeep trails, whoops, rocks and some spectacular scenery along the Sea of Cortez. This is a great place to run your race car. Just ask anyone who went to the first race.

Race Dates September 21-22, 2012

This event is open to all race cars, trucks and pre-runners, motorcycles, atv's and utv's.

Start to pit 1 = 24 miles
Pit 1 to Pit 2 = 12 miles
Pit 2 to Pit 3 = 30 miles

Just a little over 2 weeks and counting for the "Cholla 250" race, here are the current updates.

The Sonoran Sea AND the Sonoran Spa are the official accommdation "Hosts" for S.A.D.R events in Rocky Point, Sonora Mexico and graciously providing either a 20% DISCOUNT on a 2 night stay or a 30% DISCOUNT on a 3 night booking. Changos Bar will "host" the award ceremony, they also have several secure storage units available with lighting.

"Wrecked At The Reef" will "Host" the registration and tech. and provide every rider/driver of record "10" coupons for FREE DRINKS (Thats 10, NO COST acohol beverages) Good for the entire weekend!

SADR and AZOP are teaming up to co-host the Tequila 150 in May. Anyone who wants to get a preview of parts or the course or how the race works should come race the SADR Sand Storm 300 in March. Here is a promo video of that event that SADR put together.

Friday There will be an open pre run the 20 mile infield only

Bikes staging @ 5:45 am In front of the Sonoran Sun at the finish line
Bikes will parade to the start line @ 6:15 am
First bike off @ 6:30 am

Car staging 7:30am in front of the Sonoran Sun at the finish line
Cars will parade to the starting line @ 8:00am
