Update on Richard Harrah by his wife Kathy
First and foremorst I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their well wishes and support. Over the last 30 years of racing we have met so many wonderful people. Over the years they have turned into our family. New family includes Steve Milligan, SMT family and Empty Pockets Racing. This has not been an easy process but our big family has helped to give us strength, also would like to thank Roger Norman for calling and his lovely wife visiting and all the goodies and presentation of the check and plaque from the Lawtons. As for our race family what can we say you guys are amazing and have been so great through all of this thank you for being there for us throughout this process. Another thank needs to go to Gary from Empty Pocket racing for staying with my husband in the truck and Phil for being the big man to get him out and also to Ty Sinnot for being such a sweetheart for going in the ambulance with Rick and foremost to Greg Becker who was the rock for my girls and is like a brother to Rick and also to Jim who also was a comfort to my girls. A thanks goes out to Evan Vaughn for bringing the truck home in first! Jim you have been like a racing dad to me. We appreicate you all and it really helped since I was in route from san diego to get to Reno as soon as possible, but it helped to know he was in such good hands. Rick has had a rough road since the injury occured. When in the hospital he was in a lot of pain due to having broken his back at T12. We just want to say thank you to our family and all of those who prayed and gave well wishes that has been helping us to heal. We appreciate all of you and will try to keep you as updated as we can on his process. Thanks again to Locations racing our team our family and our friends. We love and thank you all!

That is why they call it "la familia"! Glad to hear that you have not had to go through this alone and I hope that Rick has a speedy recovery.

Praise God for all the great folks in the desert racing Family and continued prayers for Rick's recovery and for comfort for his family. My rolled Bronco is nothing by comparison and thanking the Lord for that!

Broncodawg
I was sad to see such a great machine rolled I hope that it was not a total loss and you can rebuild. it is nice to see those out in the dirt! I am the one who pulled you out. Hope it was as good as can get. As for Rick I am one of the ones that was there to get him out of the truck and am glad to be part of the locations family. I pray for a great and speedy recovery for Rick and as the whole family knows I am here for whatever they need. I am thankful to call this awesome group of people family.

Kathy,
I am glad I was able to be there with Rick, and try to re assure him that all would be ok. All of us at Empty Pockets Racing are happy to be part of the Locations Racing, SMT Racing, family. You are all great people, and are teaching us alot about what we love to do. I will find us the proper equipment to have on hand with our teams, so if this type of accident ever happens again it will be easier and safer for the injured person. Get well soon Rick, we need you back out there with us.
