Day one is in the books.
We learned weight transfer and braking into turns. Never past second gear so top speeds are around 40mph. Towards the end we did lots of sideways driving. Very fun and if we actually listen to the instructor we get down some smooth runs BUT its hard to break those bad off-road habits of trying to steer with the throttle. Our cars are basic 4wd STI's and we learned to steer with our brakes and minimum steering wheel input. Once you manage good turns and it actually works you move that car very fast through turns.
We are filming the process of the 3 day class and will turn it into a small film for RDC.
