Trying to get the pre-runner look
I have a 1999 F-150 2wd EXT cab. I want to give it that baja look but don't have 5k to drop alone on suspension.
I live in South Carolina so there aren't any deserts close by. I want to spend around 1500-2k on suspension, but can't find any mid/long travel. Are there any options out there?
If I was going to do a lift I was thinking a Pro-comp 6" front and 4" rear for level or 3" rear for the front rake. I want to spend around 8k on the project, which would be fenders, bumper, wheels/tires, suspension. I am looking at 35" red letter grabbers, do yall think a 6" lift with 4" fenders would dwarf those tires? And what size lift do you think would give my truck that race stance?
Thanks

Re: Trying to get the pre-runner look
I would stay away from those drop bracket kits such as the ProComp....Install some Lift spindles, you'll get about 3-4 inches of lift and pick up ground clearence under your lower control arms....pick up some 5100 Bilsteins and maybe a small 1" rear lift block. I think you will need glass up front for 35" tires, and make sure you get wheels with the correct backspacing, you don't want those wheels poking out past the fenders....
