wheres a good place to look for a full size or mini stock truck?
I finally did all my home work on building one of these two trucks and was wondering where to look to find one that i buy cheap and start working on it as soon as possible. i have a few friends that are willing to help me work on the truck but im just wondering where i need to look for trucks stripped or something. Let me know ready to build one and get out on that track. all the trucks i have found are outta my range in $$$$ right now so im looking to buy a stripped truck thats about it. hit me up and thanks everyone.

Junk yards will sell striped trucks but IMO craigslist is the place to be for a cheap truck to start with. I think its better to find a cheap complete truck than a completely striped truck as there will be parts missing you wished you had. Look every day on CL when one comes up cheap they don’t last long. Have your money ready to go so when one comes up you can snag it.

I would get a head start with this project.

Heres a good place to check. Financially your better off buying something that is already put together. It will cost you less and be easier to get on the track. Done it both ways, new trucks always have gremlins, and its a pain in the a$$, especially after you've been dumping all your time and money into it.

You could try repo lots. Be ready to deal with real diamonds of humanity when you call! Tell them you're a cash buyer with transport and willing to pick up at any time. You'll save them the seller's premium, listing fees, and possibly "cleanup" before they pay to transport to auction.
