Desert Assassins Acquire Game Changer - Tim Sanchez

San Clemente, CA (August 1, 2012) Excitement is abuzz at Desert Assassins Headquarters as Cameron and Heidi Steele’s Desert Assassins company announced today they have signed Tim Sanchez to a contract for management services spanning the many projects, events and racing they are involved with.

“We’re excited to add Tim full time to our team,” said Cameron. “His experience and management ability are second to none within our industry having organized 3 of the last 5 Baja 1000 wins. Tim’s passion for the sport, along with immense amount of experience in both racing and Baja, is exactly what we’ve been in search of. This has been a long time coming and I’ve been trying to get him onboard for quite some time. The Desert Assassins have a number of projects in the works and we were definitely in need of his proven talents across the board. He lives the passion each and every day; his knowledge and network throughout the Baja Peninsula is unsurpassed and we are stoked to make this announcement.”

Desert Assassins announce Tim Sanchez as the DA’s Director of Operations.

Steele continued “A key component that fits our company is Tim’s ability to multi-task and manage several projects at the same time. There are not many people who can do it all and he’s proven time and time again, he gets the job done.”

Sanchez has been an integral part of many racing championships and wins with Mark Post’s Riviera Racing, Menzies Motorsports, Rob MacCachren Racing and the most recent Scott and Andy McMillin’s - McMillin Realty Racing.

Multi-time SCORE Baja 1000 Trophy Truck champion and McMillin Homes - Chairman of the Board, Scott McMillin commented about Tim’s tenure with McMillin Racing. “Tim raised the competitiveness and professionalism of our team through his organizational and leadership qualities and he will do a great job with Cameron’s team.”

The Desert Assassins have many moving parts in the works for the remainder of 2012 and moving into 2013 their schedule will be expanding. The team will continue racing three off road desert trucks in multiple series, while being heavily involved in hosting motorcycle rides throughout the Baja Peninsula while launching the new Master of Baja project in 2013 are just a few highlights on the schedule for the company.

“I’m very excited to have this opportunity with the Desert Assassins. I’m looking forward to the future and helping the team achieve success on both levels, in racing and business. I’ve been very fortunate to be involved in many successful teams in the past and I see a great future with the Desert Assassins. Cameron and I have worked together previously on several large projects and we have big plans for the next few years,” said Tim.

About Desert Assassins: For 30 years Cameron Steele has forged the action athlete lifestyle creating the most out of non-traditional marketing opportunities. Following in the footsteps of his father, 2-time SCORE Baja 1000 champion Mark Steele, Cameron and his wife, Heidi a 5-time desert champion and 3 time Baja 1000 winner, race off road. They have created an action adventure company specializing in off road racing, off road motorcycle adventures and adventuring throughout the majestic Baja Peninsula. The Desert Assassins are also on the cutting edge of producing and hosting TV and web media unlike most of their competitors making them a front-runner when it comes to delivering media content. For more than a decade they have successfully hosted amazing adventures in North America to many walks of life. The result has been the discovery of overwhelming group of amazing friends that all share in the experience of adventure, whether it’s racing or riding throughout the Baja Peninsula.

Desert Assassins live an adventure lifestyle to the fullest every single day!

Re: Desert Assassins Acquire Game Changer - Tim Sanchez

I never knew Tim Sanchez performed team management duties for race teams. I thought he was too busy taking care of business at Dirtnewz, especially during the races. Talk about someone who knows baja, I should of introduced myself by now, but I don't think I've seen anyone more down south than the Desertbull.

Just wondering but does anyone know if Tim still has that 5/1600 car?
