SNORE/MORE Midnight Special Class 10 Side Bet
The upcoming Midnight Special looks like its gonna be a great class 10 battle. I'd like to get a side bet going to make winning this race worth a little more than just bragging rights. I was thinking $500, with $100 of that going to fast lap. Maybe this will draw out a few more cars as well.

I like the thought...$500 might be a little steep for most of us though.

Not sure if we are going to make it, but you better explain if fastest lap is of a finsher or a DNF racer. Just saying

I think we all race to win not have the fastest lap. I say winner take all, but count us in either way. If you want to reduce the bet to get more people in thats cool also. McGee Racing #1011

Re: SNORE/MORE Midnight Special Class 10 Side Bet
We can certainly reduce the bet to get more cars involved on this. I was figuring five cars at best, but if we lower the bet and get more cars great. Fast lap prizes used to always be a staple in all of the off road organizations and it has really died out. Setting aside a purse for fast lap is by no means promoting racers to run hard and not finish, but in the event of a dnf, or a break that puts a car way down, it would be nice to have a little something else to go run another lap, or try and burn a fast lap for, thats all. Thanks for the input, and lets keep this dialogue going. And yes to be more specific, fast lap money goes to dnf's, or finishers.

Cody, post this on MORE's 'Race Talk'. I will most likely take part in this side bet.

That's the plan cody.......and personally I say keep the side bet on the lower end that way all can enter in it.....has anyone talked to Jim about bonus's???
Yes, but he is not fat, grumpy, and argumentative, so there is a difference
This is staying with me for a while. Thanks Kevin

Re: SNORE/MORE Midnight Special Class 10 Side Bet
Sounds good. I was thinking only 4 or 5 cars would be interested but sounds like we might get a few more than that. With enough takers we could definitely lower it. Talked with a few more guys today and I think some of the bet should be set aside for last finisher as well. How about a $350 bet: $225 for winner, $75 for fast lap, and $50 for last finisher. If we get eight takers that would be $1800 to the winner, $600 for fast lap, and $400 for last finisher. What do you guys think?
