Shout out to the Trophy Kart kids racing in the Pro Classes
The farm system for future short course off road drivers, AKA Trophy Kart racing in Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is starting to yield results. Bradley Morris wins both Prolite rounds 9 & 10 and Limited Buggy round 10 at Glen Helen. Sheldon Creed continues to lead the way in Super Lite. Jeffery Cooley Qualifies 1st in Pro buggy. These individuals and many others like RJ Anderson all came from Trophy Kart racing. There is a lot of talent just ready to bust out of the Modified Kart class. I can’t ever remember a promoter investing so much to the youth of this sport. Lucas has created an opportunity for youths to race at a very high level of completion and exposure. The Trophy Kart classes are not only grooming these boys & girls to be fierce competitors, but also teaching these kids skills they will use throughout their lives.
Lucas Oil has done many positive things for this sport. In my opinion the smartest thing they have done is continue to support the Trophy Kart competition at the National level and develop their own future drivers & teams. Most of these Trophy Kart Teams will be moving up the pro classes some day with multiple years of racing experience behind them.
We had a bunch of father & sons stop by our pit talking about getting into Trophy Karts at Glen Helen this past weekend. Also I noticed a lot more fans in the stands for the TK races this weekend.
Keep up the good work everyone on the LOORRS Trophy Kart crew and thank you for another fun weekend!
The Trophy Kart kids & teams should always be part of the National Series! (Encrypted message)

Re: Shout out to the Trophy Kart kids racing in the Pro Classes
My vote is that there should be a TK race before the P2 race. Did anyone see the Super Lite race Saturday night? It should have been a Mod TK race to keep the crowd awake and the race would have been short.
Don't shoot the messenger, that is just what I saw.

Thats funny, becuase the SuperLite Race on Saturday was definately action packed complete with paint swap passing, door to door racing, a few wrecks and a gnarly barrel roll.
Sunday was only better

I was able to see a bit of Sunday's SL race during a short break, it was awesome. The TK kiddos are starting to step up and taking over the field in the Pro classes... cool to see history in the making.

I agree with you Randy about the Mod Karts. They are the "Pro" level of the karts. They should be in the main show. They have been a time or two in the past and been a huge hit.
Re: Shout out to the Trophy Kart kids racing in the Pro Classes
Ive always enjoyed the Mod Karts and enjoy watching them everytime im out.. I'd skip watching single buggy (no offense to all of the single buggy badasses) before Id skip a Mod Kart race.
Ive always seen the Mod Kart as the "pro class" to the Kart category and feel that they should be in the big show! At last years night race when they had the Kart class, it was absolutely epic for the kids and the fans loved it.... I say bring it back!!
food for thought... A 14-18 or 15/16-18 Mod Kart class ..... ON THE BIG TRACK

I think he was referring to all those cautions because of the "action packed" crash fest known as Superlite racing.

I agree as well! Put some Karts in the big show, I always bring my 5 year old son. Also thanks again for all the fathers that took time to educate and let my son sit in their karts! We all remember when we got to sit in race cars when we were kids........
