Racing down a 700ft slip-n-slide in Ocotillo Wells this weekend only

Im at 27sec hauling ass down that 700ft slide....We dont start until the shade falls on the sand hill about 5pm. But, before that all hanging out at the hotel pool drinks & cooking up BBQ with a band playing. Its a blast and worth coming out for. The heat isn't anything to worry about to drive in, from Julian to Ocotillo is very short. The pool has shade & never feels like its 106 degrees. More like a day at the beach.

mega slide tomorrow with plenty of beer drinking poolside until time to slide, then more drinking afterwards. Ironwoods resort has plenty of beer at the store. Last year a group had a bday party & brought a band. That played into the night & were a fun rowdy bunch. which said they were coming back again....
