Locos Mocos Air at the 1000 /win a free 1000 entry

Saturday Locos Mocos Air tested radio communications over the MDR race
at Lucerne Valley. Since our inception Barry Buckelew has been running
the radio at the Locos Mocos Pits. When Barry hopped in a plane for the
first time to test the equipment on Saturday it was like he had been up
there his whole life. The test went off with out a hitch. We talked to
racers and chasers on the ground at Soggy Dry Lake minutes after loosing
contact with a car top rig in El Cajon. Locos Mocos has once again
teamed up with Baja Pits for this years Baja 1000. Locos Mocos will be
running the San Fransquito pit in a chain of 17 Baja Pits.
This year for the first time Locos Mocos will have a plane aloft during
daylight hours to run bilingual radio relay for any race team that needs
assistance. We will be providing pit to pit communication plus status
for Baja Pits and any emergency we can help out with.
This is an expensive undertaking! The only funding for this project
comes from a Raffle sponsored by Baja Pits! Please help support this
brave project by purchasing a ticket or ten. The Grand Prize is 1 fully
paid entry for this years Baja 1000 & 2 drums of VP Race Gas & Full Pit
