    1963 Dodge Desert Truck?

I just picked a '63 D100 with a 440/auto. I haven't decided whether to hot rod it or do it old skool desert truck style. Is it too old? if not, what would it look like?

    Thanks

A truck is NEVER too old! May be difficult to find fiberglass for it. Hot rodding it would be CHEAPER and EASIER. Either way, SWEET TRUCK!

That combo makes for a sweet burnout machine. Take it to Berdoo.

I wasn't thinking glass...a little lift, fender trimming and 33s or 35s, preferably some old skool traction tires.

The other thought I had was a gasser stance... lift the front, small tires there for the street, fat rear tires for the street/desert and paddles for Glamis. Maybe set the engine/cab back.

Which reminds me...this is offtopic a little maybe, but it's my thread. :-) How did Mickey Thompson's rear engine Big Red get the power from the engine to the axle?

    For grins :

The plan is a lowbudget DIY truck whichever direction it goes. I have a machine and welding shop to work in and my own personal junk yard out back with most, if not all of what I need.

I think it would look great as a desert truck.
