What gives 1600's? Why V2R only 5 cars entered?
I wish I could have gone to this event. Vacation commitments has me watching from Maui. I'm amazed only 5 cars at this race. Is it strictly the entry cost keeping 1600 cars down in car count for these events?
Would it not be possible for more drivers to race these races and more if they just split costs and seat time? Or do drivers just not SHARE ....but why if it gets you more seat time?
I would rather be able to get in and drive 150 miles every month at any race than to just race ONCE a year. Car counts would go up for sure.
Seems silly to have 60 plus 1600 cars sitting in garages only racing once or twice a year. Cheap, quick, and easy to prep. Just wondering.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want....except a lil' racing.

Well I just raced it in a 1600 car and I think it's mainly the course, it's not a 1600 course. VTR is either silt or a graded road, which is boring in a 1600. Every now and then you get a fun mountain section, that's it...
Plus, BITD doesn't give the class near as much attention as other promoters. They started us behind the rock crawlers and every other limited truck class, that part also sucks. Other promoters consider 1600 one of the top pro classes.
It just makes much more sense to go run a 1600 car in SNORE. Much better 1600 courses, competition, bonuses, and lower entry fee.
SNORE/MORE night race seems to be the next good 1600 race... My car is more than likely parked untill SNORE RATR, where there will be some $$$, and extremely good/fair racing! Can't wait!
Don't get me wrong, I think BITD is an awesome series, one of the best. But there are just better options for a 1600 car.
