Re: RDC BITD Vegas 2 Reno Photos!
So, that second photo is the Skilton Honda? we need the story behind that and more photos, for sure.... I'm no expert, but it looks like something has gone amiss.
OK, I have seen the photo sequence.... ouchy! Looks like he came in hot, popped up in the air before the step up, and hit right into it, rather than roll up it. ouch! Hard to believe that others didn't do the same.
Jason, I saw shovels in the back of your truck... did you build that boobytrap?

Story? He was hauling ass and hit that ditch. That's pretty much all to the story. According to Mr. Skilton. LOL

"PRO PHOTO"
^^^haahaa. Seriously though. Pretty much sums it up.

but what's the story? was his mind on something else? was he texting and driving? combing his hair in the rear view mirror? I want the backstory.... real life issues. I bet he was fiddling with the radio dial.
But seriously, the course was 550 miles and Skilton did this at one unspecified place.. how was Jason right there, Johnny-On-The-Spot with his camera in hand, full of Kodachrome, ready to push the shutter release? And why did he have shovels in his truck and was all dirty?

I wish I remember the mile marker, maybe it's on the Gopro, but we did see one pair of boobies!
. Ironically there was some huge holes right after her that could have ended your day easily if you lost your concentration.

Re: RDC BITD Vegas 2 Reno Photos!
didnt really help having this section marked like 5ft from the "xtreme danger crosswash".. by that point it was far to late to even try an slow down. cam guy was setup in this spot i think he was set up to get pics of people recking rather then to get cool pics of people launching and getting air.

Re: RDC BITD Vegas 2 Reno Photos!
Just letting everyone know that #8034 Sober Suicide Racing is the first photo everybody came out ok just a little sore. Would have been nice to have the danger marker more than 10 feet from the danger! Put the truck in the shop on sunday new steering box and ram installed, 2 new front tires, and we are ready for the Blue Water Desert Challenge in October.

Re: RDC BITD Vegas 2 Reno Photos!
Before people start assuming anything ridiculous you need to realize that photographers aren't out there hoping people will wreck and get hurt, at least myself and the ones I know.
The spot was marked with two danger signs and after Skilton and Sober Suicide rolled I would wave to people to slow down if they were coming in too hot. A few even waved back thanking me. I also moved a danger marker a little farther back to give the driver/co driver a little more time to see it. HT Racing I'm sorry I left around 6:30pm so you must of hit it after I was gone.
Just like a few years ago at Vegas 2 Reno when I was at a silt hole that wasn't marked and after two bike guys fell I ran up course and took a danger marker at a road crossing and put it up.
And Doug shut up, even though you're joking some keyboard warrior might think you're serious. lol
