Where to dispose of old fuel drum?
I have old VP race fuel drums. Where in the corona area can I dispose of them?
The difference between perseverance and obstinacy is that one comes from a strong will, and the other from a strong won't.

Re: Where to dispose of old fuel drum?
hazardous waste round ups. Our city puts them on a few times a year. I used to use mine to store old oil until the "round up". They never said anything about it, they just smile and wave good bye.

Ya.The one I found wouldn't take any "containers" over 5 gallons. Havin a hard time with this. Don't want to be irresponsible as it still has a few gallons in it too. (several years old now)

Re: Where to dispose of old fuel drum?
Ypu can put it on craigslist in there "free stuff" section. Somewhere someone wants it to make a BBQ or fire pit out of or use for used motor oil or something...
disclose there is a little gas in it in the ad. and list your address and say "its in my drive way. just come get it, dont knock on my door"
it will be gone in a day.

Re: Where to dispose of old fuel drum?
I saw a guy that was selling used fuel drums on craig's list for like ten bucks each, I would give that a try, maybe five bucks each and corner the market

Usually the place that you buy them from charges you at least a $25 deposit so they should take them back. That is what the place we buy fuel from does.

Gave it to a guy that's making chairs of some sort. Told him to be careful and to make sure he rinses it before cutting! I've heard scary stories about fuel vapor and sparks.

Put used oil in it, take it to the next race in Baja, try to look upset when they confiscate your race fuel at the border.
