Anybody else have problems at the Grand Sierra Resort?

Last year we had a great time, but this year we had all kinds of issues. Many of our team members reservations were goofed up and only booked in for Saturday night. We thought we got it straightened out, but one of our guys went to his room on Saturday afternoon and couldn't get in. Security was called to let him in and they found that his room had been given to another party, but they left his belongings in the room with the new guests! The ATM's were not working at several times during the weekend and there were some other issues, but the worst thing that happened was they ran out of Coors Light at the pool!

2 years ago some production equipment of mine was "misplaced" at contingency in the parking lot during clean up. they dodged/avoided my calls concerning it all day until i had to catch my flight and the people there i did talk to in person sent me in circles looking for their "media guy" who may have picked it up "by accident" at the end. to this day they/their media department never returned one call or acknowledged my concern or answered my emails.
Guessing they got some nice new-to-them equipment.

Re: Anybody else have problems at the Grand Sierra Resort?

We had a few issues with rooms on friday night. We finished at around 3:00 am and towed into Reno. When we got to the hotel one of our rooms (with 2 supposed queen beds) ended up having 1 double bed for 3 people, no big deal. Went down to the desk to see if they could move us or do something for saturday night to allow us to have 2 beds. There was nothing we could do for friday night, so we went back to the room, only this time our keys did not work. After 3 failed attempts at getting working keys, they sent a security guard to "make sure we were putting the keys in the correct direction." After he was unable to open the door, they called in their in house maintainence manager and he tried, also with no success. He told us there was nothing he could do right then and that he would have to call a locksmith, but he would not be there till around 9 or 10 am. So after being up 24 hours the 3 of us had to crash on the floor in one of the other rooms (only a minor inconvenience, I know) The locksmith called me at 8 am to come get my new keys. It was a great weekend and race, just ended with a little more complication than I was prepared for.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

All good here. We had 2 Room Suite with no issues. Headed back up there tomorrow. The bars were packed and booze was flowing! Machines and tables weren't paying out though!
