Baja 1000 team
While waiting to go to dinner on Saturday night , after winning the LV 200, we saw Curt Leduc and Chuck Hovey talking and after approaching them we overheard some comments made about a pairing of drivers. When asked about what was said neither Curt or Chuck would comment. Could this be a team in the making ?

Re: Baja 1000 team
I heard somewhere that he built the truggy, compared it to the 1 car, then decided to use it as a pre-runner or run it in a fud race or two. Not sure if that's why it's not usually raced.

Re: Baja 1000 team
It was specifically built as a prerunner with a mild, cast small block Chevy. Did intend on racing it in an occasional Fud race but his SCORE/BITD schedule hasn't alowed him to do so very often.

Gotcha, that's one nice pre-runner.

Re: Baja 1000 team
Who built it? It looks alot like the Waddel (sp?) truggy that used to run MDR, and I haven't seen that thing run in a long time and I got the impression Hovey bought it from him. Never was that fast, the motor always sounded pretty mild.

Re: Baja 1000 team
I'm almost positive it's a TLR and I think that's who built Waddell's as well. I think the Hovey car was built for him, not bought, but I wouldn't swear to that either.
