Im in the process of looking for a rear disc brake kit for my small bearing ford 9" and willwood has what i want but im not sure which one to order. they have the dynalight kit and the heavy duty kit. they all say for hotrod streetrod blah blah blah what would be the best kit to get for an off road truck. alos drilled and slotted rotors are they worth the extra money?

i would say if your gonna do any street duty, you need the heavyduty stuff. anything that will help braking is worth it.

Slotted rotors help clean the pads of contaminents. Drilled are bling factor. Used to be that drilled was a good idea b/c of pad out-gassing but modern pad compounds don't out-gas like DS-11's & similar old compounds. Usually drilled rotors crack earlier (at the holes) than undrilled.
