Harbor freight welder??
Which ones are good? Anybody had a bad experience with one? Its for my friend who hasnt really ever welded.

The Hobart one's are ok for lite stuff, but go for an entry level lincoln or miller, just better in the long run.

Well I dont think they sell any of those welders at harbor freight...but thanks anyway.

The hf in Az sells a small 120v hobart unit, and some other brand maybe cambell hossfield not sure. But for the extra $100 or so get into a sp-175 lincoln entry level unit. For the Lincoln try your area welding supply. If he is just starting go with a 120v model, as he progresses he will eventully get a larger unit (amprege, duty cycle,220v) and be able to sell the smaller unit down the road. A 120v model comes in handy in the middle of the desert with only a small generator.
