Spare tire or no spare tire
New to racing class 9. Wondering if while desert racing, should I carry a spare tire? If yes, should it be a front or rear tire. Thanks for your time. Ted

Re: Spare tire or no spare tire
If you choose to carry one, use a front. It weighs less and will work on either end of the car if needed. But for a short race like Laughlin, if you have a flat your most likely out of the hunt, so dont bother to carry one.

It's all preference...is it a single seat or 2-seat? What does the car weigh with and without it? 9's don't get flats too often.

Re: Spare tire or no spare tire
It also depends how much pit support you have, I havent ran a spare in years because I pit with the checkers and have great pit support!!!!!!, with a pit every 10 to 15 miles so if I did get a flat I would just drive on it to the next pit!
WHEN YOURE RACING YOURE LIVING, EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST WAITING!!
