    New Porter 10 Car

Just a note to keep your eye out for a new Porter class 10 that will debut in Laughlin. The car is a scaled-down version of thier proven class 1 car. The car features a Kroyer Honda motor and will have Chris or Rod Muller or Bill Gasper at the helm next weekend. I'll post some pictures early next week.

    Re: New Porter 10 Car

Rod Muller has driven a few races with me in the trophy truck a couple of years ago but I think he's trying to put a class 1 car together some time this year. As for the new class 10 car it really isn't that new, I believe it's 4 to 5 years old. Danny Porter and the boys did a complete make over on the car and from what I hear it came out really nice. Good luck to Chris and Billy at Laughlin.

Got these 2 pics off the porter web site, pretty sure there were the first generation Porter buggies back in the late 90's.

If you look at the bottom of the link there are some pics of the old car and then some with new shock mounts on it-If this is the car that is.

    Casey-

You're right - Scott McMillin owns both of the "older" Porter PRC-1's. The first one is the former Damen Jefferies/Hermann Motorsports car that was black with yellow and orange flames and the second is Rod Muller's former Class 1.

There are several pics of both vehicles on the McMillin Racing website; Under the "Superstition 250" banner, the silver #103 in all metal, is the former Rod Muller car.

As for the Muller's, they got rid of their GM dealership and after having revamped to a used car Super Store, another new car dealer expressed interest in their property with the Riverside Auto Center. After considering all options, Rod and Chris decided to sell the property and pursue other business interests. One of their collaborations is with Danny Porter in the PRC Engineering part of his business. http://www.porterracecars.com/engineering.htm

The Muller's are great guys! I look forward to their return to the desert and wish them all the success!
