This will be a picture unmatched for years to come...
Gives me goosebumps just looking at it. Two of the best racers of all times. Reminds me fo the David Bailey/Ricky Johnson days...I wish DB was still commentating thats for sure!
That race had several highlights, MC's holeshot, the MC RC jump, the pass by Reed, the wad by RC. I was really impressed will Ricky on the podium, he didn't bad mouth lappers or make excusses, he's becoming a class act. That is a great picture!!
McGrath doesnt have the balls he once had or the endurance but he def still has the skill!
he is still as fast as he was in his championship days, but everyone else from the new generation has kicked the bar up a couple of notches...
and as far as cahone`s he was doing sections that RC wasnt trying so he still has some, but just doesnt have that blazing speed like RC, bubba whatnot, he is fast, but a controlled fast, not an RC out of control im gonna crash or win by a mile fast
he is still my hero, along with bubba, i have no respect for ricky because he has no respect for fans... i await the day that james blows by him like travis can and has, and make supercross a race for the win, not a race for second
"Its the fastest who get paid, and the fastest who get laid. If you aint first.. you're last" - Reese Bobby
I dont agree he is anywhere near as fast as he was 10 years ago...he doesnt either (in his interviews), hence the reason he is working out so hard and putting in so much seat time.
As for Ricky...I dont know where you have seen him or met him but everytime i see him wether on TV or at the races or in the pits he is a class act.
Yes Ricky looks out of control , but thats his style and he is the most winningest racer in Supercross so it works. There is not, has never been and probably will never be somebody who works as hard as he does. The only comparison I could maybe make with regards to heart, hardwork and dedication is David Bailey.
You make him sound like an Alessi!
and im not even a fan of any particular racer...im a fan of hard work and dedication!
