4" Coilover Springs

Can anybody confirm this reasoning for me? 2.5" shocks use a 3" I.D. spring, 3.0" shocks use a 3.5" I.D. spring so do 4.0" shocks use a 4.5" I.D. spring. I thought so logically but over the years I have learned that logic screws you and someone told me that they use a 5.0" I.D. spring, does anybody know for sure? Thanks

RG's shock uses a 5'' O.D. spring. Not sure on who else makes a 4.0'' c/o though?
