wheel spacers should probably not be used on anything, much less an off road type vehicle. maybe a trash trailer, but not a truck.

i agree. its one thing to use spacers on a show truck to clear the fenders, but on a prerunner? even if the spacer itself didnt break, the extra leverage would play hell on the spindle snout and the wheel bearings. Id steer away from those things.

Thumbs up on the autofab set up. I have their TTB set up on my ranger, and it works awesome! While it is set up for two shocks, I only run one 2.5" per wheel.

Re: wheel spacers for pre run use

we have been using wheel spacers for 3 seasons on our 7 class truck with no problems at all!!! i would prefer lengthened beams on my truck but the rules will not allow. stick to 7" wheels though. the wheel spacers are doing the same thing as wider wheels do to the bearings. this topic has been talked about before, do a search and you will probably get more info. i would try to get into a coilover setup if money allows. its not really any more expesive at this point if you havent purchased anything yet.

what kinda of beams do you use extended or bent how much wider are the bent beams they use?

My beams are TTB's, 4wd Dana 35. They are also making a kit now for rangers to run full size Dana 44 TTB's...that would be quite a bit wider.

Re: wheel spacers for pre run use

I ran ~1.5" wheelspacers on a kidney bruiser Sonono and broke everything else, including the frame, before the spacers or wheelbearings broke. People like to make a point that there is a significant increase in leverage on the bearings, but so are 8-10" wide rims and 12.5" tires. I say run em, with locktite. If you have a catastrophic failure midrace, take a look at the type of failure and retire the spacers if it was due to the strength of the spacer/studs and not improper installation/maintenance.
