Feature - Streamline 1963 VW Bug
Danny built this 1963 VW Bug prerunner over a 2 year+ period as his own little side project.
It is registered as a Volkswagen convertible and will perform prerun duties starting this Baja 500. Power is generated by a LS1 and then transferred to the ground via a Mendeola Transmission. Its Class One style suspension will make it plenty fast and fun to drive. Bullet proof BFGoodrich Baja Project T/A's on all 4 corners will ensure for a no downtime prerun.

It looks pretty now since it has not seen any dirt yet at the time of the photo shoot.

Not even close to a class 5. In class 5 you need a beam type front end, not a-arms. Sweet bug though.

Re: Feature - Streamline 1963 VW Bug
Doesn't have to be Vw type for Class 5 but max 4 cylinders in stock configuration and Beam Type front Suspension as mentioned

Thats a work of Art, very nice and should be a blast to own and drive.
I would like to know the 1/4 mile time and speed on pavement, it should beat more than a few street sports cars.

There was another class 5 type VW with a big A-arm set up at Laughlin a few years ago. He ran it in class 10, but I can't remember whose it was or how it did.
