Sal did not have to fork out all that cash to race to only be stuck behind 50 cars waiting to get by if you could. When you have class leaders stuck in a situation like this, you need to be flexible. I love tough hard courses but this is BS and this needs to be adressed in the future to avoid another goat screw the racers in the limited classes recieved. I am not saying make it an easier course becouse this is Baja and that is part of racing down there but at least give everybody a equal chance.

Re: Simpson Hill collected THEM....
were any of you racing?!!!! givin the gravity of the situation and the amount of cars STUCK for way more than 2 hours that the extension was, it gave teams like us a chance to finish!!!!!!!!! yeah, it might of never happend before, but it was needed. quite a few fast race cars that had zero problems yesterday were unable to make it to the finish even still, we barely made the finish at 5 something this morning.... what would you do with a line of 60 cars sometimes taking up to an HOUR to pull one out?!?!
racin isnt for babies...listin to what you are saying, its baja... things happen
just checked the results
r johnson/d cardone 7th place protruck... TOTAL TIME 18.59.45
THANK YOU SAL FOR THE 2 HOUR EXTENSION ON THE TIME LIMIT...if you check the results it is hard to say who finished last because there is like 5 people or so in different classes with this exact same finishing time....

Re: Simpson Hill collected THEM....
Its a raw deal for sure
and when in the hell is the starting order going to be adjusted
this 7 open class is kind of developed into mini trophys, and it just seems like strarting behing the buggies is a little retro, imo

Re: Simpson Hill collected THEM....
What happens to the pay back money if no one finishes in a class like, class 3, stock full, stock mini, and class 11
Just wondering..
It is laim to pay to race and be stock waiting in a bottle neck for 4 hours and time out.
That would suck.
Make your $$ count, race a limited class, it last longer.

They need to adjust the starting order based on the different courses. In the tight Baja courses we consistently beat all the 8 trucks and usually the PT but still have to start behind them. Some cars work better then others at certain courses and the starting orders should reflect that.

Did you see who won 7 open? That is a 7s(x)- agreeably a very well built one but it still has rear springs

And the best part of that truck? FOUR WHEEL DRIVE! No prob for the parts of the course that screwed all the 2wd cars. Kind of back to the old days where 4wd had it's advantages. OLD SCHOOL PREVAILS!
