Alternator

OK i just got a new alternator for my volkswagon type 1 and every time i put on the fan and tighten the nut the fan keeps getting stuck so can any one help me solve this

Sounds like you need to shim it. AIR there are shims btwn that fan and the shoulder on the Alt's shaft. I think there is even a spec for the air gap.

got it it was the little spacer that goes into the alternator should have checked that before
