Anyone thought about giving short course racing a shot? Well' Inland Prerunners,VMC and Race-Dezert are putting on a Time-Trial Short course race on Dec. 8th at the Victorville Motocross Complex.
I spoke to Jen at Inland prerunners for details and she said they are setting up a 3/4 mile track that will be fairly easy with a woop section,corners and s curves, a table top, and at the end their version of the Laughlin Leap Jump! which is an optional route. The jump contest will be a seperate event from the race. 3 - truck classes will be allowed as well as sedans and the Pro class for all non street legal buggies and other desert type racers.
It would be great to see a group of 9 - cars out there showing them all just how fast and agile we can be on a short course, with a much softened up rear suspension we should be able to do pretty well.
And hitting a man made jump in 4th gear just plane sounds like fun! Let us know what you think about this idea and how well you think a 9 car would do at this type of race! Rob S. # 975
