    Ford steering boxes... options

Is there a company such as Howe, etc. that "re-gears" steering boxes or has a replacement for Ranger/Explorer versions? Just wanted to know if there was any kind of work you can do to them to get a different ratio.

    thanks,
    Morgan

Call Howe. They are making a direct bolt in replacement box for the 3 bolt inner frame rail for a bronco and should work on a ranger. Jeff Howe might chime in also.

Just wondering, John, is that howe box you're talking about for an early 70's bronco, or for the ones that are 80-up, or do they have both?
    Thanks.

    Re: Ford steering boxes... options

they said they won't be lettin them out to the "public"(me too) for a month or two. But it eliminates alot of problems and you get a very quick response and a way better ratio. Plus no "whinning" to listen to.

    Re: Ford steering boxes... options

according to howe i would need to send the box off my 94f150 to them to get reworked. which should be the same box a later bronco uses. they said there was no ready made or modified box they could send me.

Doesn't AGR make a steering box for Ford Bronco (full size)? Is anyone running one on your Bronco?
